  Mr. Valente was my public defender lawyer and he told me that he will take care of my case. I don't think he cares about the public. He does not call you back after leaving repeated messages and his secretary lady barely answers the phone. So think long and hard about hiring him.

  Mr. Valente represented me in a traffic trial, I was very nervous because I didn't want the ticket to affect my record. Mr. Valente got the ticket completely dismissed. I was very pleased at how quickly the whole process got resolved!

  My husband was recently charged with a dwi and made the mistake of appearing in court without representation; hence, he received an excessive sentence which included the requirement to wear an alcohol monitoring device for half a year. These devices are controversial unreliable and outrageously expensive; to add there are pending lawsuits against scram of california, and judges in some counties have banned the use of these monitors. Having to wear this device could have cost my husband his career and our families livelihood. We consulted several attorneys after the fact and one local attorney bragging about his 35 plus years experience said there was nothing he could do for us because my husband had plead guilty! However, Mr. Valente was able to take care of the matter. He had my husband's sentence modified which included the immediate dismissal and removal of this monitor.He is extremely persuasive a great negotiator and professional without the need to boast like some other lawyers who should hang it up and retire due to burnout. Take it from someone who is an activist, advocate and is litigious .....if you want a good no nonsense ...get it done attorney....hire Miguel Valente!
